Back in the 90s, when Fern was three or four, Stelle organised for a group of us to go to a festival in Bristol. We piled into two cars and drove up to the site. It was absolutely tipping down. I was very thankful that I got to stay in the car with Fern while everyone else worked in the rain, putting up a huge tent. We walked around the site, getting thoroughly soaked, then returned to find the tent was leaking! Stelle handled the situation with her usual common sense and sense of fun! She laughed and organised everything and everyone back into the cars, back down the motorway and into her warm and dry flat. We had hot chocolate and toast before camping out in Stelle's room. It remains our best camping experience ever!
