I first met Stelle when we were both teaching in a school in Lewisham.  She moved into the next class along. The behaviour policy was that if a child was awfully naughty, they were sent to the next class. Stelle and I used to swap our cheekiest children through the door! I instantly knew that Stelle and i would be friends.  She was so calm, kind and patient with the children. She also was always ready to find something funny and put everything in perspective!  I was very lucky to find someone who was not only a fantastic colleague but also a truly wonderful friend for over 23 years.
